In most situations, pedestrians have the right-of-way in marked or unmarked crosswalks on the road and cars should always give way.
Still, when you see a car speeding towards you with no intention or enough space to stop at the red light, you forget about what's legal and what's not and just try to get out of harm's way - or, at least that's what common sense dictates.
