There's a reason why vehicles and motorcycles have mirrors: for drivers and riders to use them to avoid getting into situations like this. It's your responsibility as a driver to pay attention to what's in front of you, beside you and behind you.
Sure, one could claim that the blue car coming from behind was in the blind spot of the driver of the burgundy colored sedan, but it’s not like it appeared from nowhere nor did it come speeding from behind the last moment.
